Week 3: The mathemagician gets busy
(Narrative about the tournament). Unfortunately, several of the teams brought the disease back to their own schools, and important-looking owls are now besieging D’s office. The Professor of Mathemagics is being kept quite busy with questions. Luckily he has created a (magical mirror) to help him with some predictions.
In this applet, you can control the initial conditions, the transmission rate, and the recovery time. When you have everything set correctly, simply press “Go” and let the house elves grind away. You can also place your mouse on the time axis to find out the student health status on any given day.
