How would YOU measure CO2?
Just say... you decided you wanted to measure the amount of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere ... how would you go about doing it?
For example, what kind of measurement would you use?
Would you try to measure all of the CO2 from all over the world? |
Or would you take a certain amount of atmosphere (say, a 10 cubic meter truckful)? |
How would you do it?
- All over the world: Wow, that's a lot of measuring!! Remember, you've got the entire Pacific Ocean, the Sahara desert, the Antarctic, New York City...
- 10 cubic meters: Well, that does sound a lot easier. But will one truckful be representative of locations around the world?
